Located in the heart of Southern California’s picturesque coastal Village of Del Mar, L’Auberge Del Mar, by Destination Hotels, overlooks the Pacific Ocean and offers a resort experience reminiscent of a private, coastal estate. This stylish seaside hotel offers gourmet dining options, an ocean-inspired wellness spa, private walking path to the beach and relaxing pool area. The 121 guest rooms at L’Auberge Del Mar emerge reimagined in January 2017.

Masterminded by acclaimed Los Angeles designer Barclay Butera, an OH Top 50 interior designer, each room boasts a new beach color accent palette—ocean blue, sea glass greens and soft sand hues—set against a backdrop of crisp whites and subdued neutrals. The coastal chic décor is enhanced by a mix of textures and eye appeal—infused damask prints, classic striped wallpaper, bold contemporary artwork, dark wood furnishings, as well as bright white wood cabinetry.

To add to the visual interest of each room, oversized accent pillows provide bold pops of color and pattern while natural fine touches such as seashells and coral further the surf feel. Other resort upgrades are taking a cue from the Pacific surf, sand and sun, including a refurbishment program for the meeting spaces and select public areas.

In addition, a recently announced partnership has been formed with acclaimed photographer and artist Aaron Chang, who is showcasing some of his dynamic surf and ocean images throughout the resort. And, furthering L’Auberge Del Mar’s sense of beach terroir, is a new live TV feed of the Pacific Ocean itself greeting guests in the lobby’s front desk area.
