With more than 16 years in the food and wine industry under his belt, Bacardi Category Rum Ambassador Juan Coronado has developed a reputation as an award-winning mixologist. So he’s the ultimate guide to Miami’s best bars, clubs, and cocktail spots. After all, Bacardi is headquartered in Miami and the brand recently released a new premium line, too.

The Regent Cocktail Club

The Regent Cocktail Club at the Gale Hotel in South Beach serves a beautiful Old Fashioned made with FACUNDO Eximo, a luxury aged dark rum.  Evoking a retro, classic cocktail bar from decades’ past, they have live music every night of the week and a fantastic spirits selection.

Sweet Liberty

Sweet Liberty is one of Miami’s favorite industry spots (and for good reason).  They have a great happy hour with dollar oysters, a really fun playlist and a mix of classic cocktails (like a well-balanced Daiquiri) including fun, new creations – a Pina Colada with sweet potato juice.

Le Sirenuse

Le Sirenuse, located at The Surf Club is an elegant Mediterranean restaurant and bar. They serve a masterclass Papa Doble, also known as a Hemingway Daiquiri, which is perfect to sip amongst the chic décor.

Bar Centro

With a modern approach to cocktails, Bar Centro at the SLS Hotel is an upscale bar where I love to spend the whole afternoon. It has the perfect view of the pool and delicious food from José Andrés – pair with an Old Cuban, made with Bacardi Ocho, mint, fresh lime, Angostura bitters and Cava.

Lolo Cantina

Lolo Cantina in the South of Fifth neighborhood is the perfect place to grab a refreshing Daiquiri on a hot Miami day.  They have amazing tacos, too!

Amara at Paraiso

Amara at Paraiso has, hands down, the most beautiful sunset view in Miami.  It’s a quintessential Miami waterfront restaurant. I’ll post up there for the evening to enjoy Latin American food and a Daisy de Santiago with FACUNDO Neo white rum, a variation on the Daiquirí served over shaved ice and a float of yellow Chartreuse.

Beaker & Gray, a small plates restaurant and craft cocktail bar, is a go-to spot for me in Wynwood.  It’s another great local industry favorite with a cool crowd.  You can’t go wrong with any of the drinks they serve here!
