Trendsetting sportswear line Pompom Paris is bringing a fresh wave of French fashion to the newly reopened Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth resort. Paying homage to the island’s French roots, the pop-up boutique opened on January 24 for a three-month run, offering a line of bespoke items intended to capture the vibrant energy and unique culture of St. Barth. The fashion-forward collection underscores Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth’s philosophy, wherein the distinctive ethos of the destination is woven into the identity of the property.

Lola Rykiel – French designer, former dancer, and granddaughter of revered French designer Sonia Rykiel – launched the brand in 2019 as a collection of chic leisurewear, inspired by her formal dancing background and symbolic of the behind-the-scenes attire dancers would wear during rehearsal or backstage. The “Pompom Girl” style aims to capture the essence of French fashion by creating a refined look that appears completely effortless.

“I am honored for Pompom Paris to be part of the legendary Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth experience and to be able to diffuse the collection’s irreverent spirit with a selection of items specifically curated for the resort’s glamorous, well-traveled, modern woman,” Rykiel says. “I hope this collaboration will bring a touch of Parisian whimsy to such an iconic moment in the history of Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth and infuse the dynamic attitude of the Pompom woman into the most spectacular destination on the island.”

In partnership with Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, Rykiel has designed limited-edition clothing items, some of which is on display and available for purchase only at La Boutique, the resort’s waterfront boutique space. Her capsule collection includes a selection of free-flowing, comfortable pieces that range from strass crystal-embellished pullovers, luxe velour tracksuits, yoga-wear, and a specially curated tee that reads “MISS SAINT BARTH” in strass in Pompom Paris’ iconic font.

“We couldn’t imagine a more fitting partner for the Boutique at Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth than Pompom Paris,” says Martein van Wagenberg, managing director of Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth. “Pompom Paris is elegant yet sensual, polished yet effortless, simple yet alluring. Lola Rykiel’s vision for her brand falls perfectly in line with the ethos of our resort, and we are excited to showcase the very essence of St. Barth through her pieces.”

The partnership fits perfectly with Rykiel plans for her brand now and into the future. “I want to continue collaborating with people and brands that I admire and love with specific items that I haven’t done yet,” she says. “More velour, more rhinestones, more fun!”
