Beloved American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have sold their oceanfront mansion in Carpinteria, CA for $23 million. Entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima and her husband and coworker Paulo Lima (founders and CEOs of It Cosmetics) bought the home, paying $4.4 million more than DeGeneres and de Rossi when they purchased the mansion in 2017.

The beach house is an ample 6,862 square feet, with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, and an additional bedroom and two bathrooms in the guest house. Sliding glass doors and floor-to-ceiling windows offer exquisite views of the Pacific ocean from the living area, adjacent to the ultra-modern stainless steel and white kitchen. Tawny-colored hardwood floors mimic the nearby sandy beaches. The mansion’s perimeter is surrounded by plenty of deck space, allowing for plenty of seaside outdoor living.

The master bedroom boasts equally stunning ocean views, a fireplace, a massive walk-in closet, and a balcony. Other luxurious amenities include a rooftop deck complete with a fireplace, an indoor fitness studio, and a private tennis court.

Located in a small beach town 11 miles east of Santa Barbara, the sprawling 1.13 acre estate will offer its new owners easy ocean access in a decadent setting. According to Mansion Global, DeGeneres and de Rossi let go of the property because they recently bought a home in Montecito, and therefore did not want too many homes in similar locations.
