Opening at the end of 2017, Nikki Beach Barbados will be the first Nikki Beach Worldwide property on Barbados. This intimate beach club sits on 1.4 acres of beachfront property and consists of a restaurant, pool, and beach access with oceanfront lounges and seating. “Since Barbados is a destination that I’ve started to frequent recently, I feel that this location is not only a strategic move from a Nikki Beach business strategy perspective but that Barbados is an island where our brand can really make an impact on a local level,” commented Jack Penrod, founder and owner of Nikki Beach Worldwide.

Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club reopened earlier this year after an extensive reimagining. The Surfside, Florida complex comprises three new buildings designed by Richard Meier & Partners Architects LLP that expand the existing Surf Club: a glass-and-steel building that encases the historic club and two neighboring residential towers. Interior architect Joseph Dirand masterminded the public area interiors, hotel bedrooms, and cabanas. Landscape designer Fernando Wong’s outdoor living spaces pay tribute to the hotel’s history and striking architecture with hundreds of palms, trees, and plant species.

A luxury hotel on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, Coral Sands recently completed a multimillion dollar renovation. The phased renovation involved the removal of a two-story hotel building and the construction of two separate buildings with three guest rooms in each, three freestanding beachfront guest cottages, and a new 55-foot infinity pool with second-level soaking pool. In addition, Coral Sands’ main lobby and lobby bar were renovated and refreshed with a modern island style.

Plus, Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment program grants citizenship to Silversands’ villa owners.

Landscape architects at Halvorson Design Partnership have developed a living shoreline for Slip65 on Boston Harbor, currently under construction at Clippership Wharf. The shoreline provides unprecedented access to the water’s edge and serves as a resiliency measure for this new urban mixed-use community. The project includes the creation of new rocky beaches, salt marshes, and terraced amenity spaces for the previously abandoned wharf. Construction at Slip65 will be completed by fall 2018 and sales are currently open.
