Telescopes  for Star Gazing Compliment Temple Orange’s Italian Comfort Cuisine, While Palm  Beach’s only Oceanfront Dining, Breeze, Serves up Gourmet Burgers

imageThe Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach introduces new menus at both signature restaurants, now offering traditional Italian comfort food at the indoor/outdoor restaurant Temple Orange, offset by the casual fare and gourmet burgers at Breeze, Palm  Beach’s only oceanfront dining.

Under the supervision of the  resort’s acclaimed Executive Chef Ryan Artim, Temple Orange’s new menu focuses on  authentic Italian cuisine, featuring fresh pastas and risottos, thin crust  flat breads and a host of delectable dolci options.  Inspiration for  the dishes comes from both Southern and Northern Italy, and seasonal specialties  featuring local produce and fresh catches will rotate  regularly.

As 2009 marks the  400th anniversary of Italian astronomer Galileo’s invention of  the telescope, Temple Orange’s outdoor terrace will feature large  telescopes, further enticing the guests’ senses and offering extraordinary  star gazing over Palm Beach’s glistening stretch of the Atlantic.  Telescopes staged throughout the terrace add a touch of nebulous  entertainment to a sparkly evening dinner or dessert.  Temple Orange will soon introduce regular  star-gazing nights hosted by a local astronomer, offering a guided lesson on understanding the celestial objects above.

The oceanfront burger bistro, Breeze, offers another distinct dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm  Beach.  Serving up casual fare of gourmet  burgers, sandwiches, salads and more in a relaxed and cozy ambiance, Breeze offers exclusive seating for guests to marvel in the majestic views  and breathe in the crisp ocean air with sand in between their toes.  Illuminated by tiki torches, this oceanfront enclave is Palm Beach’s barefoot  elegance at its best.

“The new menu selections at  both Temple Orange and Breeze compliment the natural  surroundings of the resort – the warm evenings under the stars, cool ocean  breezes and spectacular views,” said Bradley Cance, general manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. “Following the 2007 transformation of the  entire property, the restaurants have received very positive feedback from  visitors and locals. Chef’s inventive menus and the restaurant’s  experiential components raise the bar on typical resort  dining.”

In addition to these new  restaurant options, Stir  Bar and the Terrace offer guests a lively gathering place to  enjoy specialty cocktails and a light bite menu. Afternoon tea is  served, as Stir offers a comfortable atmosphere to relax and take in ocean  views near the main lobby.  The Terrace provides cozy outdoor seating  with easy access just steps from the beach and resort pool. By  night, experience the transformation as both spaces become a center of  activity at the resort, where guests enjoy their favorite libations and  meet in a see and be seen setting at the inviting outdoor fire pit.   For a bit of privacy, discover one of Stir Bar’s quiet niches or an  oceanfront cabana for a full dinner under the  stars.
