The classic pool table has been given a contemporary and spectacular makeover, catapulting it into the international design arena. A standout at 2014’s WestEdge Design Fair in Santa Monica, Calif., Calma e Gesso’s head-turning and ethereal crystal glass pool table has elevated the traditional game of pool, or billiards, to a different league. Design duo and brothers Davide and Gabriele Adriano, the creative forces behind the new Italian luxury design brand, mounted the crystal structure on a thin steel frame, creating the effect of a table floating on four legs.
