The president of Ocean Land Investments, Jean Francois Roy, informs me that initial sales for AquaVita, the first of five luxury waterfront condominium developments that will reinvigorate Fort Lauderdale’s East Las Olas real estate, are surging along. Located on Hendricks Isle, just off Las Olas Boulevard, the contemporary five-story building offers 22 two- and three-bedroom residences ranging in size from 2,321 to 4,480 square feet and prices from $995,000 to $2.9 million. Opening date is scheduled for March 2015. If you miss out on AquaVita, its sister condominiums AquaLuna and AquaMar are breaking ground soon.

Gurney’s Montauk

Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is the new hot spot in the Hamptons thanks to the first of a multi-phase renovation by new owners and real estate moguls George Filopoulos and Lloyd Goldman. The popular oceanfront resort has unveiled 38 signature guest rooms, a new food and beverage program by hospitality magnate Jennifer LeRoy, a refreshed spa, a redesigned seawater pool, numerous rooftop spaces with ocean views for entertaining and weddings, and a stylish beach club with a new restaurant and bar. Gurney’s is the only oceanfront hotel in the Hamptons and the only year-round resort in the region.

Thompson Miami Beach

Miami has an exciting new luxury hotel to celebrate with the imminent opening of Thompson Miami Beach. Following a multi-million-dollar renovation, andlocated at 4041 Collins Ave., the 380-room beachfront hotel will showcase the creative talents of leading chef Michelle Bernstein, a James Beard Foundation Award winner and a guest star on “Top Chef” and “Iron Chef America.” The new hotel will blend beach-inspired facilities with mid-century international resort style and is accepting reservations for arrivals starting November 14, 2014.

Pasea Hotel & Spa

California’s Huntington Beach will welcome its newest luxury hotel, Pase?a Hotel & Spa, which broke ground during the summer and is scheduled for completion in early 2016. The eight-story hotel, situated across from the Huntington Beach Pier and being integrated into the Pacific City retail and entertainment center, will feature 250 ocean-view rooms and suites, a Balinese- inspired spa, custom designed pool deck, a signature restaurant, roof deck and bar overlooking the Pacific, and an outdoor dining patio. The hotel will be managed by Pacific Hospitality Group as part of its Meritage Collection in California.
