The new eco-luxe lodge in Costa Rica’s Golfito region offers remote, nature-focused retreats with just six canopy suites situated on a lush, green mountain on 380 acres of rainforest. Rates at the lodge include three multi-course meals daily and access to all common areas like an infinity-edge saltwater pool. Activities and wellness programming include hiking, yoga, massages, and surfing. While guests are fully immersed and secluded in nature in their canopies, the lodge focuses on agritourism, helping to protect the lodge’s surroundings and local community.

Paradero Todos Santos

Baja California
Opening January 15

Paradero Hotels will open its new 35-suite property less than 50 miles from San Jose del Cabo Airport. Focused on elevating communities, providing authentic travel experiences, and minimizing their environmental impact, Paradero has set their hotel in a UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve in an agricultural area of Mexico. The gorgeous landscape, open-fire kitchen, outdoor activities, palm tree-shaded spa, and suites with amenities like outdoor soaking tubs and hammocks all make this new property a sustainably minded wellness oasis.

Miramar Beach, Florida
Opening February 1

The new 250-room hotel was designed to welcome Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort guests to a comfortable, luxurious experience exemplary of Southern hospitality. The hotel, located in a city that regularly attracts visitors from around the globe, includes amenities like an upscale spa, a fitness center, and the only rooftop pool on Florida’s Emerald Coast. James Beard awarding-winning chef Hugh Acheson has conceptualized four culinary outlets for the hotel.

Sweetgrass Inn

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Opening January 2021

Hilton Head Health, located on scenic Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, opens the brand new Sweetgrass Inn this month. The wellness retreat will now have their own accommodations to hosts guests—thirty rooms and 16,000 square feet, plus a resort pool, a theatre, and a game room. Hilton Head Island has been voted top island in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler, and for good reason—along with its 12 miles of glistening beaches, the island is home to world-class golf courses, dining, and shopping.

Palacio Provincial

San Juan, Puerto Rico
Opening January 2021

Palacio Provincial will be the first new hotel to open in Old San Juan in decades when it debuts its ultra-stylish property this month. The 43-suite hotel is the perfect home base for exploring the rich history of San Juan, while guests can also soak up the sun from the hotel’s pool deck with hand-crafted cocktails. You can also find open-air dining and intimate event spaces for small weddings.

Comwell Copenhagen Portside 

Nordhavn, Denmark
Opening January 2021

This month, Wyndham’s exclusive Dolce Hotels & Resorts brand opens what will someday soon be a bustling international hub: Comwell Copenhagen Portside. The new 493-room hotel is located a short metro ride from Copenhagen in Nordhavn, Denmark, a hub for sustainable development and modern architecture. The hotel features 18 meeting rooms and a rooftop garden. Comwell is an award-wining Danish hotel group mostly known for their spa hotels in other parts of Denmark. This will be their first hotel in the Danish capital.

Goodtime Hotel

Miami, Florida
Opening January 2021

Music and fashion creative Pharrell Williams this month opens a new 266-room property in Miami called Goodtime Hotel. Pharrell teamed up with hospitality mogul David Grutman and developer Eric Birnbaum for his first hotel property. Located on Washington Avenue in Miami’s South Beach, the seven-story building was designed by architect Morris Adjmi, and, according to Pharrell, “goes heavy on the Wes Anderson vibes.” Check out their Instagram for some artsy inspiration for your next getaway.

Hilton Santa Monica

Opening February 1

Situated in the heart of Santa Monica, just a few blocks from the ocean and pier, the new Hilton hotel will be a chic destination in this world-famous beach town. With 286 guest rooms, 211 of which are suites, the hotel will offer more suites than any other hotel in the area. The hotel’s high-impact design is unmistakably Southern Californian, while it’s social-hub lobby will feature a tech lounge, elevated grab-and-go fare, and a farm-to-table eatery. You’ll also find a gorgeous outdoor pool with cabanas.

Moxy South Beach

Miami, Florida
Opening February 2021

A stylish and playful celebration of Miami’s cosmopolitan culture, Moxy South Beach is the brand’s first resort property in Miami Beach. Located steps from the sand on Washington Avenue, the newly built 202-room, eight-story hotel offers dining, drinking, lounging, and co-working options—all at an affordable price. The interior design melds together the styles of mid-century Havana, contemporary Mexico City, and, of course, Miami. Amenities include outdoor dining spaces, a 72-foot pool, an indoor-outdoor fitness center, and a rooftop bar.
